Spatiotemporal Changes in Air Temperature and Precipitation Extremes over Iran

In this study, a comprehensive trend analysis was employed to study the spatiotemporal changes in precipitation characteristics with air temperature increasing over time. The nonparametric Mann–Kendall test and quantile regression methods were applied detect plausible temporal trends 11 extreme rainfall indices three study. results showed there little evidence suggest that increases maximum of 3-h 24-h at higher temperatures resulted similar annual precipitation, most stations throughout Iran showing drying features temperatures. Generally, regions scaled negatively, implying reduction ranging from −2.64 −0.44 mm/°C linear tendencies ranged −0.4 0.23 mm/°C. located Urmia Lake, Caspian Sea, Eastern Border Basins decreasing (−3.70 1.11 mm/year), while number rainy days increased (−2.78 4.72), which occurrence lighter these regions.
